Every so often I check the stats on this blog. I've included the stats graph above. Notice how the blog started in the fall of 2010, forming a plateau until this book was released in late May and sales began in June. As I continue blogging about my book, there is another post-release plateau. I intend to make use of this continued readership by asking what readers still want more of when it comes to VIA, CN and CP passenger trains, equipment, services and history. It seems that social media can indeed be used in conjunction with traditional print media like books. What about an e-book or chapter downloads?
For now, since we're talking about VIA and mountains, here's a mixed stainless steel/blue & yellow consist to enjoy.
Highball!

Hi Eric;
ReplyDeleteAs a confirmed techno-phobe, an e-book or e-chapters don't do anything for me. I like a hard copy to keep referring back to.

Thanks for your feedback, Ian. I know you're someone who will use my book as intended, for reference, so it's good to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteThere is a fairly vigorous debate right now about print vs electronic railway materials, and I'd like to know what potential readers are most interested in.
